In February of 2008, the city of Billings donated 12 outdated
parking meters
to the Spare Change for Real Change program.
The Downtown BID has installed the parking meters around Downtown
Billings,
where they will serve as donation meters to supplement change boxes
currently
collecting change on the counters of local businesses. These meters will
serve to further
encouraging the public to reconsider their method of giving, reminding
them that
there is a better way to give.
